How To Order Custom Art

So, you like art. You've always wondered what it would be like order a custom piece...but, it seems so daunting.

How does it all work? Truly, it's not the same as going to Target and buying a print, but it can be just as painless...and a whole lot more rewarding! In the end, you will come away with a one-of-a-kind treasure as opposed to just another copy of someone else's work. So, let's explore the simplicity of this process...

1) Choose your subject matter.

It can be anything! Everything! Whatever you want. Truly!

You could get me to recreate an image of your childhood home. A classic car. Your favorite flower. A vacation scene for office daydreams. Or something random, abstract and designed to complement your couch.

Did I mention it could be anything?!

I love to work from the guidance of photos, but I will also gladly work from your ideas, tailoring a piece of art to suit your specific whims.

2) Choose your size.

Perhaps you want something small and quaint, perfect for an art nook. Or maybe you want something HUGE that will span a vast wall space. Then again, maybe, like most of us, you are Goldilocks looking for the perfect choice in between.

For collages on paper, I generally keep the images no larger than 12" x 12". Collages on canvas, however, can be any size!

All collages on paper come framed at no additional charge. Collages on canvas come unframed, though frames can be purchased from me for an additional fee. All work on canvas is, however, coated in a protective sealant. For more details, see Pricing.

3) Give me time to work.

Email me your ideas here. And then, just sit back and relax. Go on vacation. Knit a sweater. Do whatever it is that you do! And, before you know it, your art will be ready!

I work on projects in the order that I receive them. There are occasions when I bump a piece in order to work on a "rush" job for a publication or individual, but that is rare.

For the most part, I am able to finish a collage in anywhere from 2-4 weeks from the initial start of the project. Be aware that this start date does NOT begin at first contact.

4) Enjoy your art!

Once you receive your art, hang it on your walls. Stare at it endlessly. Post it on Facebook for all of your friends to see. But, most of all, just enjoy it...and do so for years to come! After all, isn't that the whole point?!

So, do you think you're ready?!
